Today, Minister Marc Miller, the new head of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, announces the launch of the inaugural trades selection round this week. The focus on trades expertise, such as carpentry, plumbing, and welding, supports Canada’s construction sector and fulfills skill needs across the nation.

Global Talent Attraction and Economic Support

Within the last three years, candidates must have accumulated a minimum of 6 months of full-time, continuous work experience in a single occupation listed in the provided table. This work experience can be gained either in Canada or abroad.
